Stereoisomerism in Alkenes

Abstract

This activity introduces students to cis/trans isomerism in alkenes and the E/Z nomenclature system.  After completing the activity, students should be able to identify cis and trans isomers of alkenes, and apply E and Z nomenclature to the stereoisomers of alkenes.
