Abstract

This activity covers the topic of "Null safety and Functions" as part of a Mobile Device Application Programming course. Students taking this course are assumed to have taken a prior programming course. This activity introduces nullable variables unique to some programming languages, such as Kotlin, in this case. It also introduces Kotlin's function syntax to help students become familiar with the language. After completing the activity, students are expected to write code that uses nullable variables and implement functions using Kotlin.
