Abstract

This activity is focused on the key topics of acids-bases-pH-pKa and buffers, as review for sophomores or juniors who take the biochemistry course as a part of their natural sciences or health sciences curriculum. Even though this activity is intended for students in a biochemistry class, an instructor teaching the general chemistry sequence may also be able to use this. This activity is intended to be used over 2–3  (50–75 min) class meetings. Appropriate ELIPSS rubric is also attached at the end of the activity so that the instructor can gain some insight into the process skills in their classroom.
