Normal Distribution
Abstract
This is an activity for an introductory statistics course and introduces the normal distribution. The focus is on navigating the distribution for different values of mean and standard deviation using z-scores, as well as using the Empirical Rule to approximate probabilities. This activity can be placed in a unit on probability distributions or just-in-time while studying classical inference approaches.
