Abstract

This learning cycle activity is the fifth in a set of five activities introducing first-year pharmacy students to the topic of biopharmaceutics. Specifically, students will be introduced to the concept of clearance, predict the impact on half-life based on changes to clearance and other pharmacokinetic parameters, and interpret data and graphs to calculate pharmacokinetic parameters. Students explore these foundational topics in a pharmaceutics course within the first couple of weeks in the professional pharmacy curriculum.
